Here at Community Responders, understand the concerns surrounding the outbreak of COVID-19. We also understand the importance of staying current on your certificates to continue working. While Accrediting bodies have extended expiration dates of those who were due for renewal, we want to make sure that we can help you complete this training without necessarily waiting until all of the precautions have been lifted. To serve your training needs, all Community Responders' classes will continue to run.
We want to ensure the health and safety of all our students who trust us with their training. We encourage all students to:
— Practice good hygiene, including washing your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after the course.
— Cover your coughs and sneezes.
— Refrain from touching your face, mouth, eyes and nose.
— If you are sick and showing symptoms, stay home.
We follow strict decontamination and disease prevention policies year round which include but are not limited to decontamination of our manikins, equipment, classrooms with alcohol-based cleaner after each class. We are also working closely with instructors and clients to offer more class options in an effort to keep class sizes smaller then normal. Until further notice, we will not offer in person classes for more than 5 students per class to allow for as much space as possible per the Social Distancing Guidelines. Each student will have their own manikin to train with as well. In person training will have to be scheduled with us directly vs online as this training option will be limited. We encourage people to utilize the Live Webinar training at this time when possible.
FACTS ABOUT LIVE WEBINAR TRAINING: Training via Live Webinar (also known as distance learning) is NOT the same as an "Online Training". The difference is that the live class is done in the same format as the classroom training, just via live streaming capabilities (such as Zoom or Skype). This is not the same as an "Online Training" that does not offer the ability to do actual skills whether its in person or through live streaming. Many companies do not allow online courses because there is no skills portion involved. Our Live Webinar training still requires the skills portion. The skills part of the class is either completed in person through private appointment at our training center; or through live streaming ("manikin" use included) . The live webinar training is not the same as an "online" course, and meets the requirements of an in class training.
FACTS ABOUT BLENDED TRAINING: We also have a Blended training option available for individuals who would like to take the classroom portion of the training in a pre-recorded or video format. This again, requires skills completion for certification. Employers can rest assure that the participants are completing everything as mandated by nationally accredited organizations. Blended training will need to be scheduled directly with us in order to schedule appointment for skills portion.
Updates and cancellations will be notified via email, text messages, and phone calls.
